You’re invited to ATLstuck’s Saturday Homestuck meetup and photo shoot, hosted by myself and my partner-in-crime, valuan!
Momocon is drawing nearer and nearer, and now you’ve got something to really look forward to!
This year’s shoot is taking place on Saturday, March 9th 2013, at 4:13pm! It will be outdoors! We are picking outside again since AWA 2012’s outdoors location worked so well for us. To get to the outdoors location, go to the back of the Hilton’s first floor, past the lobby. You’ll see large glass doors; go through them to find us! It won’t be too difficult to find fellow Homestucks.
If it rains on Saturday, we will be located on the 5th floor of the Hilton, same time. Only if it rains will we be there; do NOT come to the 5th floor expecting us to show up if the weather’s fine!
As always, we will start with Beta kids (all Johns, then all Roses, etc.), and then have one big group shot of the Beta kids. We will then call Alphas, and have a group shot with them after their separates. We will then have an all-kids group shot. We will then call trolls with their ancestors/dancestors (ex. all Vriskas, Araneas, and Mindfangs would be called together), and then we will have a big group shot of all trolls. We will then call The Midnight Crew and The Felt, and then any misc. characters that were not called (guardians, cherubs, Bec Noir, Hussie, Problem Sleuth characters, etc.) We are also having a special personal god tier group that will be called up after the misc. characters.
We will NOT be doing shipping pictures! Sorry, but it takes too long to do every ship that people want, and it will already take a while to do the above shots. If you want to do shipping pictures, feel free to after the initial shoot! As with last AWA’s shoot, we are allowed to use a megaphone, so you will be able to hear us pretty well as we call up characters. If we are inside due to rain, we won’t be able to use it though, so if that happens, please try to keep to inside voices as we call characters.
We would also like to ask that you please do NOT jump into shots where you do not belong, or come up in between characters to try and squeeze in shipping photos. We had this happen multiple times during the AWA shoot, and it was very annoying and just plain rude. So if we call Dirk cosplayers, and you’re a Lil Cal cosplayer, for example, do NOT come up. We will call you separately. Everyone will get called no matter what, so please be patient.
There will also be general meetups on Friday and Sunday, at the same time and location! Feel free to meet with your fellow Homestucks and make friends before and after our big shoot.
We would appreciate you spreading the word around before and during the convention, so every Homestuck can come. We can’t wait to see you!!
